Colonic Before and After

Filed under :Colonic Before and After

Before a Colonic

The day before your colonic, eat light – preferably fruits and vegetables. If you are comfortable with fasting, then a 24-hr fast prior to your appointment would be a fabulous way to receive a colonic. If not, then don’t worry about it.

The day of your colonic, eat a light breakfast and lunch, depending on your appointment time.

IMPORTANT : No food or water two (2) hours prior to your colonic.

After a Colonic

After your colonic, you will receive a mineral replacement fluid (cal/mag/phos) as well as intestional replenishment flora.

We suggest that clients partake in a 30-day acidophilus replacement after a series of colonics. While we believe the colonic will remove harmful bacteria, allowing the good bacteria to more easily populate and florish, we also recognize that everyone is different. We carry Metagenics Flora, which we feel is the best on the market. However, this is not a requirement and is a personal choice. If you need more information about good bacteria, we will provide you with more information post-colonic.

After a colon irrigation, it has been our experience at that it is important to:

  • Drink plenty of liquids – pure or filtered Water, fresh vegetable or fruit juices, herb teas, and electrolyte drinks.
  • Fortify with intestinal microflora (friendly bacteria)  I carry Metagenics Flora.
  • Optimally eat soft food such as pureed soups for the first 24 hours after the colonic session.
  • Avoid eating raw vegetables for 2 days. Steamed vegetables and raw fruit are all right, but masticate (chew) thoroughly.
  • Reduce meat consumption for 3 days (heavy beef and pork).
  • Observe your body’s reaction to the colonic; food you eat and the energy you feel
  • Continue your exercise program, if any. Begin walking if you are not on a program.
Be aware of your breathing and your thoughts. Sometimes emotional energy is also moved during a colonic.
  • Follow proper food combining rules to reduce gas and aid digestion.
  • Take a detox bath the evening of your colonic. This will help continue the detox process by pulling toxins through the skin as well. Not to mention it is relaxing and part of being “good to yourself” Use baking soda or Epsom salts in tub of water. Or may use 1 cup raw apple cider vinegar in tub. This is incredibly important, as salt will conduct the “energy” within us and help pull out more stagnant lymph material. Do not overestimate the benefits of this very simple at-home health benefit.

Poo-Gasm?!

My good friend called tonight and said “hey girl, I’m SUPER gassy, what should I do?”
So, an hour later, she on the magic poo table having an amazing release (and relief) when she started moaning, laughing, smiling, with utter relief.  As she was rubbing her tummy, she just let out what was easily 10 lbs of waste, there was such a relief as her whole body seemed to collapse in this esctasy of expelling so much waste!  Then it occurred to me, it’s Freud’s anal analogy showing itself right there on the table.  It’s a POO-GASM!! OMG, hilarious!

Chemistry update: On the supplement protocol for 24 hrs and feel noticably better. I am sleeping at night, and not after meals during the day. I’ve elminated about 50% of carbs, which I’m choosing to celebrate. The either/or extreme vision in life follows in my cleansing routine. But letting go of fruit is really difficult for me right now.

Smoothie Update: Romaine head, 1 banana, hemp protein, rice milk. YUM. Almost like vanilla chocolate shake. Jake was DIGGING it.

Lots of stuff going on in the last few days, all good, all positive, but now I have lots of work to do.
